At a glance you can see the 3 groups of foods: alkaline-forming, acid-forming and neutral foods. If you think in terms of acidity = toxicity then you are going to reduce the amount of acid-forming foods (drastically!), increase the amount of alkaline-forming foods and use the neutral foods with discrimination. The higher the ratio of alkaline-forming foods in the diet, the more effectively you will detoxify.
